A different Diabetes type?
Have you ever heard of Diabetes Type 1.5? Maybe Latent Adult Diabetes of the Adult (LADA)? Below are some links from Diabetes Care that expand on this relatively new classification of diabetes. The website isletsofhope.com has a great description, library, and support group if you would like more information:
What is LADA?
Usually presents as type 2 with the destruction of the pancreas occurring slowly, usually over years. Does not affect children. Typically identified in persons over age 35-40 but may occur in persons as young as age 25. Genetic predisposition and environmental triggers are suspected as the causes of LADA. Weight does not seem to be an indicator of LADA (persons are typically normal weight or thin)

Medical Blueprint version 2 released!
We listened to you, the user, and made some updates to the Medical Blueprint webpage. The most obvious is the data entry fields where you can enter what type of test was done and any additional notes you'd like to add like food, medicine, or exercise. The second update was that the type of test and notes are also viewable in the View/Print page so you can provide more information to your health team. Thanks for all your suggestions and words of encouragement as we continue to grow and develop this website. Good luck and test on!
